Turtle Rock, Irvine

The community of Turtle Rock is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Irvine, founded in 1967. Situated 10 minutes from the John Wayne Airport, and convenient to the 405 freeway, Turtle Rock rises above the hustle and congestion, and residents enjoy the seclusion of hills, vistas, parks, trees and hiking trails that make them feel in a world of their own.

The elevation gives access to unhindered gentle ocean breezes, and is often above the haze layer for some spectacular views. The highest point, sunset point at the peak of the hill in Chaparral community park, offers a great vista to view the sunset of over the city skyline.

Communities in Turtle Rock range from most the expensive homes in all of Irvine – including Shady Canyon and Turtle ridge – to some of the older and more established homes at price points commensurate with other parts of the city. A lot of people are upgrading and remodeling their older homes, so the property values continue to do well.

Residents of Turtle Rock have excellent choices for top notch education, ranging from Turtle Rock and Bonita Canyon Elementary Schools, Vista Verde and Rancho San Joaquin middle schools, and University High School – widely considered the best high school in Irvine.

Parks include Turtle Rock Community Park, Chapparel Park, and Bommer Canyon – with Bike and hiking trails that you can take all the way to the beach.

There is easy access to shopping and dining at several locations near UCI college, including University Town Center, Trader Joes, Albertsons, and many restaurants, boutique shops, banks, and of course Starbucks.

With all the convenience of easy access that city living provides, combined with a truly secluded suburban living set apart amidst established trees and parks, Turtle Rock is an easy choice for families wanting to live the Southern California dream.
